What To Do
All three islands are suitable for people who enjoy walking. They are green islands with beautiful nature and a lot of olive trees and pine trees. Othonoi is the biggest of the complex and the most famous. It has a beautiful natural environment, including the ruins of Venetian castles, traditional houses and old churches. Swimming at Aspri Ammos beach and inside Calypso’s Cave will be an unforgettable experience. Ereikousa is the northern Island of the complex, verdant, and ideal for a tranquil vacation with few yet gorgeous beaches where the trees reach up to the sand. If you visit to don’t forget to hike on the forest trails leading to the Merovigli hilltop. Final Mathraki, the smallest Island of the complex, a spear fisherman’s paradise with beautiful reefs, rocky islets, and a seabed that is full of life. If you get there, don’t forget to swim in Portelo Beach.
Who Should Visit
If you wish to have a calm and relaxing vacation, then Diapontia Island is the best location for you. Friendly for families and couples, but not at all for those who look forward to a vibrant nightlife.
When to Visit
The ideal period to visit and stay at Diapontia Islands is summer. Out of these dates, it is possible to stay in any of the three Diapontia Island, but your choices of transport to get there, as well as places to eat and drink, will be limited.
